The Quest

The Quest

The Quest is the final stage of training before a Knight's consecration and dubbing. The potential Knight submits his proposed Quest to his local review board. Each Quest:

Is accomplished as a team

Coincides with Montfortian 33 days of preparation for consecration

Lasts a minimum of 1 week, but must not exceed 40 days

Requires some sacrifice: e.g. a pilgrimage, physical travel, fasting, austerities

Is accomplished in an outdoor setting

When approving Quests, the potential Knight and his local board take into consideration the physical abilities, age, health, work schedule, financial resources, and family obligations, of the Quester.
